The conference will be held in the main building of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) in the country's capital Budapest from September 20 to September 22, 2011. The conference is organized by the Plant Protection Institute, HAS and the Research Institute for Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, HAS, and sponsored by governmental, academic, and private organizations that are active in agriculture, health care, and environmental protection.
Conference Chairs are Prof. John E. Casida (University of California, Berkeley, USA) and Prof. Tamas Nemeth (General Secretary, HAS).
The conference will focus on the theoretical and practical aspects of the fate and effects of pollutants in agri-chemical environments. Basic research together with field applications will be emphasized, along with laboratory, pilot, and modeling studies leading to innovative approaches. Platform and poster presentations will be selected by the technical program committee from abstracts submitted for consideration.

The number of participants is limited to 90 (the beautiful Reading Room of the HAS cannot accommodate more participants) - we advise you to register early.

Therefore, please fill in the Registration Form and send it with the Abstract of your presentation to Dr. Andras Bittsanszky via e-mail not later than June 30, 2011. The Organizing Committee will make decisions about the final program by July 15, 2011. Fees will be due only upon receipt of confirmation of participation by the Organizing Committee.
Registration fee includes get-together party, three luncheons, list of participants, and book of abstracts.
Additional features of the Conference will include a field trip and a student paper competition.
